Finbarr is a Director of Business Improvement Solutions and has worked in the field of evaluation, strategic planning, and quality development consultancy for over 20 years across the UK and Ireland.  An accredited Social Return on Investment (SROI) practitioner, Finbarr has completed a range of robust stakeholder driven social impact evaluations for voluntary, statutory, and private sector clients.  

 

He is passionate about supporting projects to evidence their impact using social value principles and integrating these concepts within wider organisational business planning and quality assurance. An economics graduate from Queen’s University Belfast, Finbarr has achieved Chartered Manager status through the Chartered Management Institute and is a member of the Institute of Business Consulting.

Alison Keenan 

Gauge Impact Associate

With almost 20 years public sector experience, in roles where she worked collaboratively across sectors, Alison has extensive experience of developing, implementing and supporting projects and programmes to address social issues. A passionate and creative problem solver, Alison particularly enjoys developing and facilitating community engagement and providing communities and individuals with the opportunity to participate and to have a voice. 

 

Having spent her career working closely with community and voluntary sector organisations, she is passionate about enabling groups to tell their story and demonstrate their impact, in particular using an outcomes based accountability approach.

 

Alison has an MA (Hons) in International Business and Languages and a Postgraduate certificate with distinction in Business Analysis and Consulting.  She also has professional qualifications in Leadership and Project Management, Marketing, and Training and Education.  She is also a member of the Institute of Leadership and Management.

Gillian McKee 

Gauge Impact Associate

Gillian has spent most of her working life in the fields of marketing and corporate responsibility. She spent 20+ years at Business in the Community in marketing and senior management roles and in 2019 made the decision to branch out on her own.

 

She now undertakes consultancy, advisory and project work for a range of clients and has expertise in education and skills projects as well as those with a wider social or environmental impact goal.

 

Gillian has a keen understanding of social value and the importance of cross-sectoral partnerships and relationships for the functioning of a healthy society. Report writing, evaluation and research are all key skills Gillian has honed over the years and she is well versed in working with the voluntary, private and public sectors to develop and assess impactful projects.

 

She recently consolidated her experience with accredited practitioner training in social value & SROI.

Amberlea Neely 

Gauge Impact Associate

Amberlea is Director of consultancy practice Starling Start. Starling Start offers expertise in arts development, engagement and place, by collaborating across sectors and disciplines. 

 

With more than 15 years' experience working within Northern Ireland’s arts sector, Amberlea has been involved in the inception and development of several cultural organisations. These include: Platform Arts, artists studios and gallery; Belfast Photo Festival, an international visual arts programme; and PLACE, which operated at the cutting edge of creative, intelligent and inclusive public engagement in the built environment in Northern Ireland.

 

Amberlea holds an MSc in Cultural Management, PGCert in Executive Leadership and BA (Hons) in Fine Art.
